The course takes you step-by-step through everything, built from scratch without relying on third-party SDKs. You’ll have full access to the source code, so you can modify it as needed, ensuring complete flexibility.
In this course, you will learn to build an intelligent, AI-powered chatbot system in Unity 3D using OpenAI APIs, tailored to your specific project needs. You’ll integrate Text-to-Speech (TTS) functionality, generating lifelike audio from text with customizable OpenAI voices. Additionally, you’ll work with DALL·E to generate images based on user inputs and add interactive zoom functionality for enhanced user engagement.
The Vision API will allow you to upload or select images and receive real-time descriptions, while the Whisper API enables you to record audio directly in Unity or use a fully customizable file picker to upload and convert audio files into text. Clipboard integration ensures that chatbot responses can be easily copied and shared, while an audio player with visualizations adds interactive elements to play back audio or recordings within your chatbot.
You’ll also implement a fully customizable file picker that is resizable and draggable, functioning like a native C# dialog but built from scratch to adapt to any project needs. You’ll manage user data efficiently by saving, reloading, and deleting it locally or on external services, ensuring flexibility for user customization or persistent storage. The course covers building a dynamic chatbot UI with a modern, resizable interface, customizable gradient themes, and interactive elements that can be adapted to any style. Additionally, you’ll improve the user experience with error management that delivers friendly and informative error messages. Lastly, you’ll learn to handle markdown and link support, converting markdown into TextMeshPro-formatted text and generating clickable hyperlinks for enhanced interactivity.
Bonus: The project included in this course provides full access to an integrated Assistant API setup within the codebase. You can create, delete, and modify assistants, create threads, and send messages to specific threads for long-context–aware conversations.
