When I decided to become a freelancer I had no idea how to do it. Unfortunately, the schools I attended didn’t teach the skills of an independent animator. The goal was to get a contract at a studio and just keep going that path. This became impossible for me after I got sick with a neurological disorder. A regular 9-5 schedule didn’t fit my needs, and I knew that studios were not interested in someone who needs a two-hour break after an hour of work. Freelancing allowed me to continue and keep advancing my career as an animator. It also helped me to create a schedule that worked for my personal needs and professional goals.
This class is for people who are just starting up their career in motion design or considering moving from studio work. The class will equip you with the essential tools so you will not only survive but also thrive in the ever-changing world of freelancing.
